Transitional shein shopping

I know this will probably come as quite the shock and it's ~totally~ out of character for me... but I've been shopping at Shein again. I mean, I basically receive another parcel every week but that's beside the point. this time I've been shopping for my transitional autumnal wardrobe. Some people may think we're beyond the transition period, given that we're now in November, but I've been emotionally hanging onto summer for a while longer than most people. But I finally started to feel ready to shop for knitwear, coats and all things layering. Check out what I got below!

So first up we have the first bit of knitwear! I love that this jumper is short sleeved because then it doesn't feel too duvet-like or too bulky and the crochet collar detail is really cute. Being black and white, it'll go with everything and it'll be equally as good with super wintery outfits as it will when we start to go into Spring. Something else that's black and white and perfect for all seasons is this skirt! Well, technically it's black and cream, which I actually love even more. The ruched detail on the front is great too and it's a really lovely fit. Bare legs or black tights, I've got lots of outfit ideas for this skirt!

If you've read my blog before then you'll remember that I have a rather impressive coat collection. Something in the region of 30 coats and counting. But that certainly doesn't stop me from wanting more each time autumn rolls around! Luckily, I always opt for cheap coats (primark etc) so I can afford to buy plenty. This royal blue one is the latest addition to the family and I am just so obsessed with the colour. It isn't overly thick so if you buy coats for thickness and warmth rather than style then it may not be the choice for you. However, I love it. I also love how perfectly it matches this shirt, which is also new. Shirts are great transitional pieces because you can wear them in so many different ways (sleeves long, sleeves rolled, tucked in, worn loose, tied at the waist). This one has a cool paisley print and I love the pink and blue colour palette.

I love my long sleeve bodycon dresses at this time of year and this one really stood out to me as being something a little different. I like the two tone, centre-split colour palette and both colours are lovely for autumn. I worried the cream half might be see-through since the dress was so cheap but it was actually nice quality. It's super comfy too and I really like the ruched front panel.

This blouse is one that I loved even more in real life than I had when I chose it online. The website photos show it tucked in but it's actually a 2 tiered style so it's really floaty. The layers are in just the right place that if you do want to tuck it in, it works perfectly, but it also looks really lovely worn loose. The pattern and colours are perfectly autumnal with lots of shades of brown and a splash of green which means it's really easy to outfit match too.

I always love jumpsuits but find them one of the trickiest things to buy. Either they fit on the legs but not the torso, or they give you a weird camel toe or they're too long or too short. So when you find a good one, it's like finding a needle in a haystack! I love the utility style of this jumpsuit and the neutral colour. The fit overall is great - the only part where it's too big is the waist but that's nothing a belt couldn't fix. It's super comfy and can be just as easily dressed up with heels, as it can be dressed down with trainers or flats.
Last but not least we have more knitwear! Another short sleeved piece because clearly I wasn't emotionally ready to shop for proper jumpers yet. This cardigan is amazingly soft and I love that you can wear it as a top on its own or over something else. I always think pink and red is such a gorgeous combo, hence why I also got these two-tone heels in the same palette. They might not be quite as transitional or autumnal but sometimes the heart wants what it wants.
