Come one, come ASOS haul

I love shopping for new clothes. And I don't discriminate; I love shopping for clothes for myself, for friends, for my boyfriend. But after Ollie did a big ASOS haul, I got serious FOMO. So naturally, I was straight on there myself to do a haul of my own. And what a successful one it was! Let's dive right in. I'm still obsessed with all things puffed sleeve and I liked that this top had a kind of safari vibe (given that I have everything crossed that we'll make it onto our African safari later this year). I didn't even notice until it arrived, but the buttons aren't round, they're kind of a triangle shape which I think is really cool. The top itself also fits really well and was only £8.90!

I'm loving all things cream at the moment as a cute alternative to white and so when I spotted this little polo top for only £6, I knew I had to have it. Ignore the fact I clearly tried it on with the wrong bra, but it fits really nicely and is a gorgeous soft fabric. I feel like it will go with so many different outfits and will see me right through to the end of summer.

This was one of those rare pieces where I actually loved it a lot more when it arrived than I had done when I added it to my cart. It has built in shoulder pads, which are quite subtle but make your silhouette look great. The colour is one of my favourites and I just love the criss-cross open back (I haven't done it properly for the pictures but you get the idea). I think for a night out, this will look lovely and helps you achieve a thrown-together-chic kind of vibe.

If you don't have plenty of basic tops in your wardrobe then you're doing it wrong as far as I'm concerned and I wanted a new basic bodysuit for those outfits that don't quite work with tops tucked in. I was a little unsure on the colour of this one when it arrived, as it matches my skin quite closely and it veers towards making me look naked. But I loved the way it fit and flattered so much that I knew I had to keep it. I've always loved a square neckline and this is made of the loveliest fabric. Naked or not, it's a yes from me.

Moving down, as the bottom of that outfit is also part of the haul! I already have a couple of pairs of black leather pants (note, must always call them *leather pants* in an American accent, as leather trousers doesn't sound as cool), but I wanted to branch out into colours. I loved the warm brown shade of these and at first, I was a little unsure about the split at the bottom but when I tried them on, I think it works. They also fit like a glove and were only £9.20!

I'm well aware that this top isn't the most seasonally appropriate choice, but I loved it from the moment I saw it. However, I wasn't sure if it was worth the £30 price tag so left it in my wishlist instead. Then when I did this haul, I noticed that it was down to £21 so naturally added it straight to my basket (even if it does end up waiting until the autumn). I love the designer style and the fit, and the sleeves are a really soft mesh. A top worth waiting for in my book!

Last but definitely not least, I got some new jeans. With the Spring weather, I feel like I'm relying on jeans a lot and I'm getting a little bored of black or dark blue, however, I always feel like my white jeans are quite stark. So when I spotted some ecru ones, I thought they might be the happy medium I was after. But they were £60 (I don't spend that much on any one item unless it's an occasion dress). A quick search later and I had this near-identical pair (a much more reasonable £19.99) in my basket. I've never had anything from the Stradivarius brand before but I would definitely get from them again. The fabric is super thick but still stretchy and comfortable, and the colour is exactly what I was wanting. I always size up in jeans and did in these too, and they were definitely the right fit. They fit snugly on the bum and thighs, close enough on the waist (although in a perfect world, they'd be a tiny bit more fitted on the back of my waist) and then go into a slim-but-not-skinny fit on the ankle. They're also petite so they come to a nice length that they'll show off your shoes! Given that I could have bought this pair 3 times over for the price of the ones I nearly got, it reminded me once again why I love ASOS. The beauty of choice!
