Spring is springing

I wouldn't go as far to say that it's sprung yet, but this weekend's gorgeous weather has certainly made me feel like we're on the way! And knowing how fickle British weather can be, I made the most of it while I could!

When I say "made the most of it", I naturally mean "within the very limited way we can right now". So going on walks basically! On Saturday, me and Ollie headed to highfields for a little stroll around the lake. Not exactly a hike, but a perfect way to enjoy the weather. And you can definitely tell that Spring is on the way because I had white jeans on! This pair were from topshop ages ago and they're super soft and comfortable. I didn't want too much of a summery outfit so I paired them with an oversized black t-shirt and checked shacket. I love the cropped style and the muted blue colour palette on this one (from shein). It was warm but not hot (although I did see some people in cami vests and hot pant shorts) so I layered a knitted scarf over the top and then added my black and white trainers (also shein). Another sure-fire sign that Spring is on the way? I finished my outfit with a pair of Quay sunglasses.

Saturday night is date night and we realised that we actually hadn't ordered an Indian takeaway in our house! The last one we had was all the way back in November at my old house. Obviously, that meant we had to order one and although we are now out-of-bounds for MemSaab delivery (*cries softly*), we did have an amazing meal from a place called Jhakhas. I don't normally find that wine goes very well with Indian food though so a cocktail night was on the cards! These pornstar martini boxes from Tesco are really good, although we did add extra vodka to ours (because it's only like 4% otherwise). Normal vodka would be fine but we had passionfruit which worked perfectly!

The food actually turned up half an hour early so I had to get ready in rush - hence, no shoes in the photo. But I love this new little purchase. This skirt was a £10 bargain from I saw it first and it's a gorgeous satin fabric. I'm obsessed with face outline designs and I think the thigh split on this skirt is a lovely detail. I added a button-up white top with 3/4 sleeves and then finished with gold jewellery and deep pink lipstick.

I actually woke up with a very mild hangover on Sunday morning, but it was nothing that another sunny walk wouldn't fix! The last time that me and Laura went for a walk around Shipley Park, it was the start of the heavy snow that we had - only about a month ago! What a difference that time can make, because this time it was sunny and beautiful and flowers were in full bloom. Anyone who's looking for a new place to walk, I'd highly recommend this place. It's not too far away and yet has the amazing feel of peace and seclusion. Clearly, I was tickled pink, not just in mood, but in outfit too! I went with pretty much an entirely pink ensemble; black leggings, pink trainers, dusky pink dalmatian blouse and pink suede jacket.
