Paint with all the colours of the wind

I know so many people whose wardrobes are filled with black, white and neutral clothing. And while I bet that makes for a very satisfying open-plan wardrobe, it could never be me. I'm a lover of colour! I love making a statement in a bright print or experimenting with clashing shades. And while there will normally be atleast one colour element in all of my outfits, these are a few outfits where I went all out!

I have a love-hate relationship with black tights. I love that they allow me to utilise my summer items year round, but I find that they make outfit creating a little harder as I don't really like to wear black tops with black tights (it makes the bottom item stand out too much I think). But adding a sprinkle of underwear-as-outerwear helped to sort that issue right out! By layering a red lace bodysuit over a black long sleeve top, it broke the outfit up nicely. It was also a nice complementing colour to the orange skirt that I wouldn't have normally thought to put together. By this point, I was all in on the bright colours so I thought I might as well make it hat-trick and added a mustard yellow headband. The outfit could've looked a bit random if I'd worn plain black boots with it but luckily I had these embroidered beauties up my sleeve to help tie the whole thing together. I finished with floral embroidered black coat and gold jewellery.

This green suit was one that I had my eye on for ages before finally purchasing it from Shein. And I only wish I'd bought it sooner! Not only is it super flattering (the blazer is so nicely tailored and can be further cinched in at the waist with the hook and eye fitting), but it's also mega comfy. The trousers are more like leggings than tailored trousers but with a smart feel. It's basically a home-workers dream right now! I stuck with the green thread in the other items that I wore with it. Underneath the set, I wore this graphic printed tee that has a grapefruit design and splashes of green on it, then I added my camo faux fur coat over the top. On this occasion, I kept the suit casual with trainers but it'd look equally as amazing with a bralet and heels for a night out.

Lilac is definitely my colour of the moment, and you may think of it as one with limited outfit-matching abilities. But I actually love these lilac trousers with this orange bag! Sometimes the best things in life as unexpected. This bag is the most gorgeous quality and it was from Aldo (they always make the best bags). My inspiration from adding it to this outfit actually came from the top though. This tied shirt has super cute floral embroidery on it and while the lilac flowers make it a perfect match for the trousers, the orange flowers sparked an accessories match. The devil is in the details, as they say.
