The final countdown
This weekend ended up being significant for a number of reasons. Number 1, my notice period was over at my job as of Friday and so it was time to celebrate being unemployed (or funemployed). And then number 2, lockdown 2.0 was announced so it was the last weekend of freedom. Naturally, I enjoyed the chance to have some food and cocktails made by someone other than me, and served somewhere outside of the house (before we're back to that as the norm again).
For date night outfits, I normally tend to go with the same vibes which is either heels and trousers/jeans or heeled boots and skirts. This time, I went with the latter and wore one of my favourite skirts. I love the slinky fabric and the draping; so much that I bought this skirt in two different colours. I have a champagne one too but I wore the green one on this occasion and added newspaper print bodysuit. Which was an absolute bargain at £2.50 (shein)! I finished the look with black sock boots and blush pink suede biker jacket.
After a hungover chill day on Saturday, it was time for round 2 on Sunday! Okay so the winter sun was doing me no favours in regard to my photo spot, but this shirt is amazing even in bad lighting. I originally saw this shirt dress on an instagram advert and then screenshotted it and hunted it down at a later date (as I did with the earrings too, among other things). I love the script writing print and it fits really nicely because it has darts down the sides. It is a little on the short side (at least for this time of year) so I added cycling shorts underneath, and then finished the outfit with snake print belt and black pointy bad bitch heels.
And then it was time for cocktails round 2! And round 2 definitely went even harder than round 1, as we started at 1pm and were then being pushed out the door at 10pm. We also had some incredible food - I always think the tapas at revs de cuba is amazing! And as you can see, we pretty much sampled the entire cocktail menu (along with prosecco and shots). While it was a pretty novel experience being hungover on a monday, it was nice that I can do that now - as a official lady of leisure.
