I saw it first impressions

If you've seen one of my hauls before then you may know that I usually wait until I have a whole day free and then photograph all of my new bits in put-together outfits in my usual spot. But this time, I thought I'd do a bit more of a first impressions post and instead, photographed the first try-on of my new bits from I saw it first. I've only ever ordered from them once before when I bought an orange blazer dress (that bagged me my boyfriend, but that's probably neither here nor there), and I was impressed last time (on service/quality/price). They seem to have a bit of a strange business strategy which is to make their products overpriced, but then always (and I mean always) publish discount codes on the product pages with the discounted price displayed. So really, the price is £20 and would only ever be £20, but you're swayed into thinking you're getting a £40 item for only £20. And actually, having gone back and viewed the items I ordered to link them for you, the original prices (and discount prices) have all changed again. Whoever works in their finance department needs the sack I reckon. Although, it worked out alright for me, as I got an even bigger discount than I bargained for! The discount code they were displaying on their pages was 40% and so I added £170 worth of stuff to my basket, expecting it to level out to about £100. But thanks to Honey (the discount code browser extension), it was only £71.99! If you haven't got it yet then seriously, download it because it saves you money and the effort of trawling through voucher sites.

Right so the purpose of this haul was mainly to get new tops for jeans-and-a-nice-tops outfits but I couldn't resist a trusty basic while I was there. This bodysuit is a lovely slinky fabric and worked out as only £2.50 in the end! It fits really nicely although it's not the best quality in terms of opaqueness (as you can see, it's kind of see-through). For the price though, it's not worth returning and I'm sure it'll be fine with the right bra.

I'm really liking these padded shoulder tops at the moment so after a quick look through their range, I settled on this cobalt blue number. The fabric is so nice and soft and the pads are done quite well; there's excess fabric that folds all the way under them, rather than them just being sewn underneath. It's also a nice length for tucking in and I think this will look so nice with some high waisted, cropped trousers and heels.

This was probably the item I was most excited for but I feel fairly neutral on it now that it's arrived. Well, that's probably not fair. I do really like it - I just don't love it as much as I was expecting to. I love the colours, the print and the mesh sleeves but the fit isn't a dream on me to be honest. I saw it first seem to design their bodysuits for 5'3 girls and as such, all of them have arrived too short for me. This one, I could actually do up at the bottom (first photo) but as you can see, it pulls it down too far and makes my chest look strange. It looked much better pulled up a bit and simply tucked in, rather than done up at the bottom. The sleeves are also a bit annoying and fall down off the shoulders a lot (even during the 5 minutes I was wearing it for). So overall, not crazy on it but I do think it'll look really nice for date nights etc.

This kind of slinky fabric is my absolute favourite because I just think it's so flattering and comfortable! I felt like I needed more booby tops in my wardrobe so I opted for this in the olive shade. Ignoring the fact that I clearly tried it on with the wrong bra, I really like this one and think it's a great little staple that will go with loads.

I liked this one (rather than loved it) when I ordered it and now that it's arrived, I'm pretty sure I'll be sending it back. I think it looks okay, but the fabric isn't stiff or structured enough to stay in place so it folds over every time you move your arms and there feels like a lot of unnecessary excess fabric. Pair that with the fact it's another too-short bodysuit and it's going back to the I saw it first warehouse.

I'd seen this one on Lucy Radwell's instagram and loved it so when I spotted it online, it went straight in my basket. While I may not be a big fan of Kanye West, I am a big fan of designer dupe items and I think my wardrobe could definitely do with more slogan/print black tees (since I have so many white ones). I ordered a size M and as a size 10, I found it be a nice fit - a little oversized but not ridiculously so. Plus it was a little bargain! What's not to like?

This is something that you might've already seen if you follow me on instagram, and it was the surprise gem of the whole order. From looking at this bodysuit online, I was expecting it to be basically off-white with very little detail but I loved the mesh sleeves and square neckline. But it's so much brighter in real life than it looks on a computer screen and I love it so much more because of that! It's actually a gorgeous coral colour with streaky print (it's meant to be printed like wood, which is a bit random) and I like that the sleeves are slightly cropped. It fits like a dream and while it's the shortest of all the bodysuits I ordered (I couldn't even nearly do it up at the bottom), it tucks in really nicely because it's a thong style so there's less fabric. 10/10 would recommend this one.

This bodysuit was definitely one that I knew would go one way or the other. Either it would fit like a glove and I'd love the satin fabric, or it would make me look like a naked, unflattering mess. Thankfully, I feel like it's the former. I think the champagne colour is lovely and it feels like a really nice quality. It's also the right fit/length in terms of the bodysuit part, which is just as well because this one doesn't have poppers at the bottom so there's no option to wear it undone! This one is definitely one that I think will look amazing with ripped jeans and a blazer, and I would even go as far to say that it's worth the fake online price of £40 (I bet no one has ever paid that amount for it).

Even though I've saved these until last, they're actually what started the whole order off when I spotted the amazing price you could get these babies for. While looking for some tortoiseshell heels, I was impressed to find these with the discounted price of only £7.50, having found other similar ones for £25. This is my favourite style of heels with a chunky mid-high heel and I also love the detail of the little hole on the backs (you can see it a little in the photos). I think these will be amazing for autumn and I'm expecting them to become a wardrobe favourite.
