I'll have an english garden please
This blog post title works on a satisfying number of different levels. Firstly, the skirt is an English garden print. Secondly, that's very fitting because the outfit was to sit in an english garden. And thirdly, what I wouldn't give to be out at a bar ordering an english garden cocktail! But I suppose gin cocktails at home (rather than out) for the foreseeable isn't the worst fate in the world. Especially since the weather is so gorgeous at the moment. It was nice to be able to whip my summer clothes back out and start to get my wear out of a few new bits. This skirt has been a long-loved favourite and it was a spontaneous purchase when I went to Outfit with my friends ages ago. That kind of see-it-like-it-buy-it shopping is not my usual style. I'm more of a calculated online shopper who decides on each item after careful weighing up and scanning every possible category and website. But this skirt just took my fancy and has been a favourite ever since! On the other hand, this top is a new purchase and is the start of my 2020 summer wardrobe (which will all be worn at home at this rate). I love the ruffled style of the neck and the fact that it's a bodysuit makes it really flattering. It does slip off the shoulders quite regularly so expect lots of adjusting if you buy this shein beauty. I added a blazer but in truth I didn't need it since the weather was so warm! So far the outfit was half new and half much-loved so I swung the scales completely the other way by finishing with my converse, which I've had for approximately 395969302 years. Time for a new pair? Probably.
