Going to cape town

Obviously I'm not actually going to Cape Town because you know... lockdown. But staying at home doesn't mean dressing down as far as I'm concerned and where there's a pun-based blog title there's an outfit. Going against the stellar advice of Edna Mode, I think that you definitely should wear capes. I've loved this cape top ever since I bought it because it's such a simple way to jazz up any outfit and looks very high fashion. I went with shape and texture over colour with this monotone outfit by pairing the cape top with this black boucle skirt. Another designer-inspired item is this J'adore belt which I added, along with these huge resin flower earrings to finish the look off.
