Let me check the ways
How do I love check print? Let me count the ways. Well, the two ways that I've worn it recently anyway. Especially as we go into Autumn, I love check-based prints like tartan and dogtooth - whether that's a full on outfit or a little accent (scarf, headband, shoes, etc).
First up is tartan and this dress is always a bit of an interesting one because it's relatively short so you'd think it was more of a spring/summer dress but it's made of really thick, cosy fabric so if you wore it in the warmer months then you'd probably just melt. So it remains an autumn/winter dress but it's one that I love year in, year out. Probably because it works from mild autumn to cold winter. When it's mega cold, I might add thigh high boots and fur coat but when it's like now (just a bit chilly), I went with nude heels and cinched it in with my J'adore belt.
Dogtooth has long been a love of mine; a love that's been very well documented right here on this blog. I might not be quite as crazy on it now as I was 5 years ago but that affection is definitely still there. This time, that affection showed itself through this shift dress with super cute detailed collar, which I paired with marble block heels and gold jewellery.
