You were always living in the red

Ah springtime in the UK - is there anything more fickle? One minute you're sunbathing in the garden and the next, you're wrapping up in a hat, scarf and gloves. It turns out that last weekend's sunshine was just the weather being a total tease, as this week has been miserable again with thunder and lightning storms thrown in for good measure. Luckily, I have a wardrobe that's up to the task of both possibilities. Swapping my vest tops for light layers, I decided that culottes were a good bet and this striped pair have long since been a staple in my wardrobe. I chose red as my accent colour, adding colour block boots and shirt with embroidered details on the shoulders. I often like to challenge the idea that certain clothes should be reserved for certain things, so this time I wore a bralet (that I'd usually wear on a night out), layered over the shirt to form a sort of pinafore style. I also finished with the thinner of my two aviator jackets and then silver jewellery.
