Victory wrap

We all have those can't-be-bothered days in regards to our wardrobe and for me, that day is usually a Monday. Most normal people probably solve this by wearing something casual but for one, that isn't me, and for two, I don't actually really own casual clothes. So the quickest and simplest way for me to throw together an outfit is to pick one statement piece, and build the rest around it in basics. Sometimes this is a statement pair of shoes but on this occasion, it was a statement coat. An oldie-but-goodie, this dogtooth coat has proved itself to be a timeless classic and one that gets brought out again and again. Because it's loud without being bright, it goes with just about any colour palette and is perfect for throwing on over something plain. So I went with plain and kept the colour palette subtle and neutral (but not non-existent); rose wrap blouse (PLT), black jeans (new look) and rose court heels (ASOS). And the epitome of can't-be-bothered in these photos is the fact that my hair is blow dried but not straightened or curled - that hardly ever happens!
