One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor
We all know that Friday night is girls night and so it would be rude to go against the rules right? We had planned a local night so I went for a casual outfit. I love these embroidered jeans (although they're not the best for moving around in - the fabric is pretty stiff) and I pretty much kept it all-black-errthang with black long sleeve top and new black belt with double circle design. I couldn't keep it totally colourless though so I added bright red heeled boots, which I've had a year now and they're in desperate need of re-heeling. We kicked things off with drinks and lots of long catch ups at Katie's flat (and Staci brought a very extensive bar range with her). I don't know if boys are the same when they chat and catch up with eachother, but you need top multi-tasking skills in order to keep up with girl talk. We can be having 4 different conversations at the same time and expertly flick between the topics, all the while knowing exactly which one people are referring to. It's the same when me, my mum and Grandma get together for a gossip so it's definitely a girl thing! Then when we finally did go out, we headed to a new gin bar, Ginious, that's not been open very long but that I've been meaning to try ever since it has. It's one of those places that you have to know it's there; it's down a small alley at the side of another bar and then up some metal stairs at the back (it sort of feels like you're going up the fire escape to someone's American house). It was really nice though and the drinks were lovely (I got a pink gin and pink grapefruit one). Then we got a little less civilised at the next place as we started on the shots. Me and big Katie got tequila (obviously) but little Katie and Staci got some sort of firecracker shot and it smelt like someone had slipped with the bottle of cinnamon! They probably would've been better off with tequila...
I actually felt pretty hungover on Saturday, despite us planning a "quiet night" but after spending the day watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix and then having a nap, I was ready to go for round 2. Me and Paige famously struggle to line our schedules up so it's always good when we successfully manage to plan a night out. Plus we always have such a funny time! I've said it before and I'll say it again; SheIn is my new favourite shop. This playsuit fits so nicely and got me so many compliments while I was out! I love the print and the 3/4 sleeves were perfect for a cold night like Saturday. I added my gucci belt and black sock boots and the most perfect accessory of all - a glass of wine in hand. We had a bit of a strange night out because after pre drinks and a couple of bars, our plan was to go to the Bowery but that whole section of street was police cordened off (which we later found out was because of a shooting, it's always going off in Nottingham!). So we ended up going to Coco tang instead and had the best night. I always love the cocktails in there and these blood dragon ones were no exception; 3 kinds of rum and blood orange tea, it was so nice. We also ended up getting bought about a hundred shots of tequila and finally stumbled home at 7am. So needless to say that I was not feeling good on Sunday, but I did successfully manage to make it out of bed and downstairs for a little bit of Sunday dinner. So I was pretty proud of myself!
