My white heeled shoes

I've lost count of the number of black heels that I own. Seriously, I have so many it's ridiculous and yet somehow I actually do wear them all. And yet when it comes to essentials, we often forget about white shoes. They go with just as much but make a nice alternative and can make more of a statement thanks to the fact that they complement your skin. This pair of white mules are stupidly comfy too and they may look like they slip off but they actually don't. On the scale of practicality and prettiness, they score highly on both. Plus they balance out an outfit worn with a white top nicely. Such as this one. I bought this ruched bardot white top specifically for Croatia and have been obsessed with it ever since it arrived. It's so flattering, so comfy and nicely different to a standard white top. And as you probably know, I've been obsessed with these culottes for even longer. I bought them back in March for only £6 and I just think the swallow print is so nice and the thin fabric but modest length makes them great for all seasons.

They may not score as highly on the practicality scale (or not highly at all - they're super hard to walk in) but they're certainly as pretty. And I've loved these white court heels for way longer. I got them from Primark maybe 4 years ago and even though they've got no comfier in that time, I have worn them a lot so it was money well spent. Something that I haven't had for quite as long is this shirt, which is one of my new ones. I like it because it's a really soft fabric but fits true to size, rather than oversized. So it's one of the few shirts I have that didn't need tucking in or tying at the waist. Plus, I love the embroidered shoulders and red is my colour of the moment. I paired it with these deep red trousers (which I liked with the shoes because they're a little short so they show them off) and finished with a red lipstick. Although I normally wear my MAC one, this time I rediscovered a natural collection one I haven't used in ages, in the shade Cherry Red.
