Hot mocha
It's a weird time of year isn't it? It's that time of year where you're defrosting your car in the morning and freezing all the way to work and then by lunch time, you're stripping off clothes and turning the air con on. So do you dress for the morning or dress for the heat of the day? Well I usually go for the latter, on the basis that I barely have to go outside in the mornings (straight from door to car to door). So even though it's now October, I still haven't broken back into my vast coat collection. There's a chance I'm in denial but I'll be making the most of the skirts and florals until it's certifiably winter. Like I did with this outfit. This green botanical print skirt is one of my faves and while I would normally tuck tops into it, this time I went with a longer shirt worn over it. I always call this my pirate shirt because of its loose fit and laced up front section, and it's a great transitional piece because you can wear it long sleeved or with the sleeves tied up. I added these mocha heels, which match one of the tones in the skirt perfectly. You can't really go wrong with a pair of dark nude heels can you?
