Opposites attract
I may not have made it clear enough yet but I'm obsessed with these trousers. They're comfy yet they still look dressy, they're colourful but not too much of a statement and they're super flattering and the perfect length. But as well as having reasons to boot as to why I love them, there's actually a scientific reason that they're so pleasing on the eye. When it comes to colours, science agrees with a certain theory about people; that opposites attract. The colours that look best together are the ones that sit opposite eachother on the colour wheel. And green's opposite is red, and the various strains of it (which include rust, berry and pink). So the green and pink stripes in these trousers are literally a perfect match. Not quite satisfied that I was incorporating enough opposites into my outfit, I thought I'd marry stripes with florals too. I don't know where science sits on what prints are exactly the opposite to eachother, but I think it's fair to say that these two prints are different enough to qualify. I've been in love with this top ever since I bought it; you just can't beat a floral crochet that looks super high quality. It was from new look but it gives me chi chi london/self portrait vibes. It looks more expensive than the £24.99 I paid for it anyway! I thought going for another opposite in the shoes was a little ambitious (even for me) so I went with a perfect match instead with nude and white caged heels; the exact same colours as the top. It's an outfit that you may think wouldn't work but science says otherwise, and you can't argue with science. I finished with Brave lipstick by MAC and pink marble faced watch.

Okay so I couldn't find a great match for the top anywhere but I've linked a couple that radiate similar vibes. And these are the exact trousers so 1/3 isn't bad right?
