The plain white tees
It was someone clever who once said that 'there is beauty in simplicity'. I don't know who exactly, but they were probably clever. Maybe. And even if they weren't, what they said was true. Because like with so many other things in life, sometimes the simplest of outfits are the most beautiful. You can't get much simpler than a white t-shirt and I've been loving styling them up recently.
What's this; Jenni in flat shoes? Well it was a case of necessity because this was for a day spent running around directing a photo shoot. Although ironically, these shoes rubbed so bad that they took pretty much half the skin off the back of my ankle and hurt way worse than any of my heels do! As far as flats go though, I do think this pair are pretty. I like the lace up style and the diamond edging. I kept it completely monochrome with this outfit as I wore black culottes and white 'bring me sunshine' top. The top is actually a plus-size but I liked it so much I bought it anyway, and styled it by tying it in a knot at the back to create an oversized crop top that cinches at the waist.
I have two almost-identical floral skirts like this and they have been a god-send this summer. Short and A-line enough to stay cool in the heatwave while still being long enough for me to deem them safe for work, I feel like I've been wearing them non-stop. This time, I wore it with embellished white top and lace up black sandals.
Given my love of Olivia Burton jewellery, my personality and my tattoo, it probably won't surprise you that my queen bee theme runs into my wardrobe too. I own a couple of queen bee tops and this one was from my brother for my birthday. I let my embroidery do the talking and kept it really simple with black pencil skirt and black lace up sandals.
