Summery smart casuals
Let's be honest, dressing for this weather is a nightmare. It's boiling and sticky no matter what you wear and even though you'd love to just walk around in a bikini, when you work in an office (especially a law firm like I do), you have to maintain a certain level of modesty. So I have discovered my hot weather uniform. Knee length skirt, t-shirt and heels. And I've accidentally kept to floral print shoulders in all 3 outfits, how clever of me!
You know I love my french influences. This stripy t-shirt is great because it's quite oversized and I love the red floral details. I paired it with my red skirt and black mule heels, and obviously finished with a red lipstick.
Okay so not only is the weather too hot for work but also the daylight hours are not ideal. Working 9-5, I have to take my blog photos when I can and I was headed out straight after work on this day so I had no choice but to take them in the morning. But obviously blaring sunlight was my worst enemy, so I had to strategically wait until the sun went behind the clouds before I could take my photos. I only managed 3 before it came back out again and with no more clouds in sight, I decided that 3 was all you were getting. Even so, this time I went with my white top with floral embroidered shoulders which is great because the colours means it goes with a lot. I added my navy skirt, red (emoji) heels and red curtain tassel earrings.
I haven't actually worn this top many times but with this outfit, it just matched so perfectly. I've always liked grey and pink as a combination so this grey top with pink floral shoulders ticks a lot of boxes and what better to wear it with than pink skirt and grey heels?
