Here come the girls

I don't know about you guys, but I've had a pretty good week and it's been one for the girls. I kicked things off on Sunday night with a trip to Bendigo for tapas and wine. Because we were going local, I dressed casually (for me) in embroidered jeans, white shirt, nude heels, camel trench coat and statement red chanel boy bag. I also stuck with the red accessories and added my favourite curtain tassel earrings, and then finished with Vibe lipstick by Kylie Cosmetics. The food was amazing (as always) and super cheap (3 for £9.95!), plus we all had a good catch up and started talking about possible holidays or city breaks for this year!

I've mentioned in recent blog posts that my mum has just started a new job and so she's finally joined me in working in the city centre, so we thought it was about time we went for lunch together! I always keep a list of restaurants or places I want to try and the Ugly Bread Bakery has been on there for a while so we decided to try it. It was very hipster but really nice food (we both had something called a mezzaluna) and we tried cannoli for the first time, which was amazing.

Then that friday feeling kicked in at the end of the week because I was heading out with the girls for dinner and dranks. I went with an outfit inspired by the dancing lady emoji (joking) in red bandage skirt and spanish-style black shirt with bell sleeves and red floral embroidery. I added black boots, pretty embellished bag from Aldo and Heat lipstick by Kylie Cosmetics. When we got the las iguanas, we were told it was an hour wait for a table so we made the most of the 2 for 1 cocktails, and then after what felt like an eternity later, we finally ate! We got a chili cheese fondue to share (incredible) and then I got tapas again, this time with a latin-american twist and it was amazing. We weren't out out, so instead of heading to a club, we headed to slug & lettuce to continue with the happy hour cocktails. I've been really liking gin lately (because I'm a sophisticated grown up) so we started with that before moving back on to a much more childish cocktail covered in sweets (get you somebody who can do both, I say).

I woke up on Saturday feeling not exactly fresh but not hungover either, which was good because I was heading out for brunch with Laura. I text her beforehand to say I was wearing something outrageous and she laughed when I arrived and she saw that it was flat shoes! It turns out that it wasn't just a holiday fling with these espadrilles because I'm still loving them. I made the most of the lovely weather by wearing checked shirt dress (cinched in with my gucci belt) and camel trench coat. I matched my bag to my shoes with this black studded shoulder bag and then finished with Ashton lipstick by ABH. And I was back in bendigo for the second time this week, and for the second time this week the food was amazing! I went with american pancakes with banana, berries, greek yogurt and streaky bacon (I'm definitely one for mixing sweet and savoury). Laura went with a super hipster breakfast - an open sandwich with beetroot hummus, black quinoa, rocket and goats cheese. How edgy is she?

Then on saturday night, I headed out with my mum, grandma and dad (we'll let him off for not fitting in with my post title) for a meal at Amores. Mum and dad are abandoning me this week to go to Cuba so it was a little send-off meal and it was lovely - the food there is always incredible. I wore another of my holiday favourites; these black wide leg trousers are quickly becoming my favourite item of clothing. They're just so comfortable and flattering yet still super stylish! I wore them with black and white bralet, gucci belt and black and white stiletto heels. Then I added mustard yellow jacket so that I perfectly matched my little Valentino bag, which I finished off with. I also love my hair when it gets to this stage of curly but it takes 2 or 3 days for it to drop to this after curling it (which is annoying) so it's a bit of a waiting game. So all in all, it's been a pretty good week. And one absolutely bursting with calories so it's a good job I've worked out 4 times - let's see if this week can top it!
