What the snow?

I pride myself on always being someone who is exactly who they are; someone who doesn't change for anything or anyone but even I have had to adapt to the gross weather we've been having this week (also known as 'beast from the east'). For example, even though I am an advocate for high-heel-wearing, my shoes have been progressively more sensible as the week has gone on (today I actually went to work in my Timberlands). So today you get a glimpse at the lesser seen jenni-wearing-flat-shoes, in this monochrome ensemble. When the weather is cold and layers are required, my go to look is a shirt layered under a jumper; it's classic, it's chic and it's a good way to add some nice detailing (warm outfits can be so boring). I went with this snake print shirt because I thought it would work well with the collar and cuffs visible and although I usually hate being able to see the bottom of a shirt below a jumper and would usually tuck it in, I actually liked the way it looked with this one so left it out. I wore my favourite j'adore jumper over the top and added black jeans and converse (sensible and practical on both counts) and then finished with Taupe lipstick and grey faux fur coat.
