It wasn't hard, it was a pizza cake
We had a classic sunday-funday to celebrate and started off at Revolution, where a round of 5 drinks only cost £15 thanks to my revolution card and the fact that they'd sent me a voucher code for a free cocktail for absolutely no reason (oh yeah). Then we headed up to Chiquitos where we had a few more cocktails (coconut margaritas for me and long island iced teas for Aidan) and an amazing meal. I love sharing food at restaurants because picking just one thing is too hard so me and Aidan shared 3 street food tapas dishes to start and then I got the chicken enchiladas. Mum's meal looked amazing too because it came in a tortilla bowl - I love a good gimmick! Then we came back home for cake and present unwrapping. I made the cake and then me and dad decorated it together and I reckon we did a pretty good job of making a realistic pizza? Jam for tomato sauce, shaved white chocolate for cheese, fruit winders for ham and shaped fondant icing for tomato and peppers, plus extra food colouring for a stone baked look. And this is how you know we've officially reached adulthood; not only did I buy Aidan a new chef's knife for Christmas, but he then asked for a frying pan for his birthday. It was a pretty interesting present to wrap and totally unguessable; other things it could've been included a banjo, a tennis racket and a magic mirror (as acted out by Aidan). A frying pan may not be a very glamorous present but it was what he wanted and Bella was definitely a fan- we couldn't get her out of it!
