Hello mustard yellow
It's happened again. Once again, I have fallen head over heels for a colour and as such am going through a phase where it's all I buy. Right now, my shade of choice is mustard yellow. Usually thought of as an autumnal colour, I think it's perfect for adding some colour to a drab winter wardrobe, without stepping on Spring's toes by wearing pastels or brights. This top was part of my recent new look haul and it's one that I got in both the mustard and the green botanical print (which was featured a couple of blog posts ago). I love the flared sleeves, the fit is really nice (and makes your boobs look good) and the length is perfect for wearing with high waisted things. You would think it was a hard colour to work with but I put together a bit of a mismatch of colours and yet I think it really works. I paired the top with navy culottes and burgundy faux fur coat and then added these embroidered floral boots that tie all the elements of the outfit together. I finished with Persistence lipstick and statement floral earrings.
