Warm this winter

It doesn't happen very often, but every now and again (like Hallie's comet), I actually dress appropriately for the weather! And so this winter, I've been keeping (occasionally) warm in faux fur, embroidered knitwear and lovely layering.

Keeping warm doesn't have to mean covering up from head to toe. This dress is ideal for winter because not only is it a really thick fabric, but it's knee length (ideal), long sleeved and has a slightly high neck. I love the colour; chocolate brown is so much nicer than black. And I basically just followed suit and wore everything else brown too - brown faux suede boots, brown leopard print faux fur coat and even brown lipstick (shade Photo by MAC).

Who said brights were just for summer? This pair of trousers are a favourite of mine because they just fit so nicely, and this time I wore them with spotty wrap top and pearl embellished heels. Then I finished it off with the only coat you need this winter - wearing it feels like getting a giant hug from a teddy bear!

You know me; once I love a certain trend or style, it's all I buy. Case and point, I'm obsessed with embroidered prints right now and so this jumper is yet another to add to my collection. I don't buy a lot of knitwear because I find it too casual and a really boring thing to buy (like jeans) but this one I was actually excited about. I wore it layered over a white shirt, with black jeans and then red boots to make a statement. I added this nude longline coat and finished with a bright red lip.
