Hello 2018!

Happy new year! And a happy one, it's definitely been. It wasn't ideal being at work between Christmas and new year but I did manage to go on 7 holidays last year so I definitely used my annual leave wisely, and I still got a long weekend off for new years so it all worked out pretty well. On saturday, we had a classic (cheesy) Littlehales family day and started at Escapologic. We've now been 3 times; the first time we did the easiest room and escaped, the second time we did the hardest room and got trapped and this time we did a brand new room, which is now the second hardest and escaped with less than 5 minutes to go yay! The room was really good too; it was a bank heist theme and they'd done it really well. Then we headed to Son of Steak for some dinner, where I had a red wine (!!!) so I am officially a red wine drinker now and therefore a sophisticated adult aswell. Then we went for a drink at the ski lodge bar at winter wonderland (to make the most of it before it goes) and then headed back to Beeston for cocktails at Bendigos and then a few games of pool at the pub. For our day of family fun, I wore a practical and wintery outfit (naht). I went with faux leather skirt with embroidered detail, grey roll neck top, black over the knee boots and burgundy faux suede biker jacket.

Then on new years eve, I had a final catch up of 2017 with Laura; we went to a cute new little cafe for tea and cake (I definitely struggled to decide which to go with because it all looked so good) and I wore my Balmain-inspired jumper.

Then it was time to get ready! I always always always have to go OTT with the glitter and sparkle on new years so I wore this gorgeous rose gold sequin dress from boohoo, with black boots and black and nude studded dune bag. I also added plenty of sparkle to my makeup with rose gold eyeshadow and plenty of pink-toned highlighter. And we had such a good night out! We started with plenty of prosecco at katie's, went on to Be at One bar for festive cocktails and then went on to Revs de Cuba (where I was on the long island iced teas - dangerous game!) and saw midnight in by being covered in confetti by canons!

It was such a fun night out and the perfect way to start the year. And as if my 2018 wasn't good enough already? I had a taco bell to cure my hangover in the morning (well, afternoon). Start as you mean to go on - this is already shaping up to be a pretty good year!
