Give a girl the right shoes...

... And she can conquer the world, so the saying goes. Well I for one, definitely agree with that and so I always strive for shoes that make a statement!

These red boots (from pretty little thing) are my favourite purchase of the season! I thought they'd make a good statement shoe but actually, they go with way more than expected so I wear them all the time. I stuck with the red theme and wore them with red tartan scarf, white top embroidered with red floral details (new look), black jeans and red lipstick. I was clearly feeling the bright colours this day because I then added my mustard faux suede biker jacket.

These are an oldie-but-goodie pair of heels that I've had forever but still love. I don't wear these as often because they are harder to match (with them being printed) so I went with a super plain outfit to really make them pop. I wore black jeans, white shirt with lace up detail (that I call my "pirate shirt") and rust jacket. I finished the look with Ginger lip kit by Kylie Cosmetics.

It was kind of an accident but I've realised I've gone with red tones through all 3 outfits! Although I'd say this one is the most statement of them all, thanks to my new bright red jacket. I love a trench coat style and this was pretty cheap from boohoo. I wore it over black jeans, burgundy top with embroidered collar (new look) and then my red boots again (see, I told you I wore them a lot). Then I completed the outfit with Chili lipstick by MAC - it turns out that the saying is true for lipstick too; "give a girl the right lipstick and she can conquer the world".
