Driving home fur christmas
It may sound like a bit of a given, but my absolute winter wardrobe must-have is my (fairly extensive) collection of faux fur. There's just something about wearing fur that makes you feel very expensive and very glamorous (and also very warm but we all know the practicalities are the least important part for me).
I'm a big fan of a one-tone colour palette and this time it was all about berry tones. I'm obsessed with these ASOS pencil skirts and this raspberry coloured one is the original and still my favourite. This time, I wore it with flare sleeve black top (new look), berry faux fur coat (also new look) and statement floral strappy heels (missguided) which were totally not weather appropriate.
When it comes to feeling expensive, this coat takes the crown. I always feel like some kind of Persian princess when I'm wearing this leopard print beauty (from miss selfridge)! Obviously, it's quite a statement coat so I made sure to keep my outfit underneath simple with black jumpsuit layered over a white bralet with caged black heels.
I've said it before but these shoes are definitely the best purchase I've made this year! Even though they're quite a statement, they go with so many things. Including this gucci-dupe bag from Aldo which I got while I was in New York. Unfortunately, that doesn't go with quite so much, so I based this whole outfit around the bag! I wore black belted jeans, navy blue roll neck top, red boots and then finished the look with faux fur gilet (because Christmas shopping is hot and heavy work and I think I would've melted if I had been wearing an actual coat!).
