Summer stripes
It has been way too long since I've done a lookbook like this and so I figured a seasonal one was in order; I went with stripes because they're a fave of mine, year in year out. And if you're wondering if I'm wearing wigs in these photos - no, I'm not but I do change my hair quite often and these photos weren't exactly taken in the same week. Anyway, I love this dress (a primark gem) because it's ideal for dressing up or dressing down and I love the almost-baseball feel it has to it. I dressed it up on this occasion with lace up black heels and gucci-dupe belt.
These pencil skirts are my absolute top must-have for work - so much so that I now one in about 8 different colours! This light brown one goes perfectly with this striped river island tee (which I also have in multiple colours) which matches really well with my nude and white shoes, so it's safe to say that this outfit was very colour coordinated!
I think culottes are perfect in summer because they're breezy and fit nicely but still look elegant because they show off your ankles (and therefore shoes). This striped pair are from new look - as is the rest of the outfit! I love this black bardot top because it just fits so nicely and these black shoes with metallic heels are quickly becoming a contender for favourite.
And here we have the lesser-spotted jenni-in-flat-shoes! I may not do casual very often but even I like to be a bit more chill sometimes and I think a bodycon dress is the perfect way to do that without looking like you haven't tried. There's long been a myth that horizontal stripes make you look bigger and vertical stripes make you look slimmer but I don't think that's true - I think this dress is super flattering (even in converse when I haven't got the heels to help make my legs look longer).
And on to my actual current hair colour (for now atleast). I love this outfit so much because again, it's just such a good colour match! I love this wrap-over blouse and the olive stripes go perfectly with this pencil skirt (obviously another of my ASOS faves). Not only that, but my burgundy heels match the burgundy stripes and my lipstick too!
