Primarily a party girl

I'm not exactly someone who ever needs an excuse to party but it's still always nice when you have one anyway! This weekend was not only celebrating little Katie starting a new job but also Sian handing in her dissertation and finishing uni! So double whammy calls for double the wine right? I had such a good night with my favourite girls (missed you Stace) and felt fabulous at the same time in this new look playsuit. I've recently done a massive new look haul (you'll be seeing stuff start to appear in blogposts soon) and this playsuit was my favourite thing in it! I'm obsessed with flared sleeves and choker necklines, and I love the ditsy floral print that marries up all the primary colours. Plus it was only £19.99! What more could a girl wish for. And in a lazy-move-turned-wise-move, I procrastinated a lot when I got home from work on Friday so by the time I started getting ready, I didn't have time to take my makeup off and start from scratch (like I usually would). So I decided to liven up the eyeshadow I'd been wearing all day by adding a yellow-gold Barry M glitter over the top and I literally loved it. I finished with plenty of gold highlighter and red lipstick, to make sure I matched my outfit perfectly.

And clearly I was feeling the primary colours this weekend because I stuck with them when I went for dinner and cocktails on Sunday. I've had these trousers a couple of years now and I still really love them even if I don't wear them very often because they're not my usual style (I don't really go for the posh joggers look or anything with an elasticated waist, I normally tend to stick with more tailored stuff). I wore them with this super simple (but super cute) bralet that I recently bought from Pretty Little Thing - I love that it has little cut out sections that show off my Serendipity tattoo perfectly. I added my all-time favourite black heels, a white duster jacket with 3/4 sleeves, red lipstick and my red Chanel-dupe boy bag. And funnily enough - me and Laura ended up accidentally twinning with our bags! We had such a lovely night and I love that Revs de Cuba are one of the few places that let you mix and match the cocktails on happy hour! Which we didn't take advantage of on the first round because we both wanted to try a Frosé (a frozen rosé and rum cocktail omg) which was amazing but we were both very disappointed that they didn't come with flamingo decorations like the photo on the menu suggested (gimmicks make cocktails 100x more appealing, it's a fact). But then it was perfect on the second round because Laura was driving so didn't have another one, so the mix and match offer meant that my alcoholic self got 2 different ones instead of getting bored of 2 of the same! You know what they say, variety is the spice of life!
