Blue mondays

So as you may have guessed by now, subtlety is not exactly my strong suit. In fact, just yesterday my mum referred to me as being 'as subtle as a brick', which seems like it doesn't make much sense as a saying because I wouldn't think that any bricks exactly stand out unless they're being thrown through your window or something. But anyway, despite the fact that I don't like to play things safe, these trousers are a statement even for me. And I literally love them! Not only am I obsessed with the bright cobalt colour, but the fit is amazing and they're one of those rare pairs of trousers that don't show your knicker line or the line of your top when you tuck it in. When I first got them, I wasn't sure about the slightly flared out bottom bits but I've decided I do like them after all. Although they do make matching shoes quite tricky, but I thought this pair went perfectly. I don't think you can beat a simple pointed-toe court shoe but the marble heel on these just make them that bit more special. With trousers as bright as these, you're pretty limited on what you can wear with them so I played it safe with black high neck top and black jacket and then finished with Lolita liquid lipstick by Kat Von D.
