Fake it 'til you make it
When it comes to designer brands, I have a very split (and often fickle) opinion. On the one hand, designer brands are beautiful and often the clothes/accessories/makeup just seethe quality and cheaper alternatives don't cut it. Other times, I find that I prefer the cheaper option - like Revolution make up! But the perfect in between is when you get designer dupes for a cheap price. This scarf is a perfect dupe (a cute word for fake) for a signature burberry one - it feels beautiful, the colours are perfect and it even has all the correct embossing and everything. And instead of £300, it was £7! Well you know what they say; fake it 'til you make it! If you haven't paid my favourite designer dupe website a visit yet then seriously have a look - the bags and accessories are amazing. Naturally I let the scarf do the talking in this case and kept the rest of my outfit very simple with grey top, black pencil skirt and black stiletto boots. I layered my black coat over the top and then finished with a pop of colour - red Chanel lipstick. Although that one is a genuine!
