The definition of madness
What do you call it when you have 12 acrylic drawers filled with make up and then you place an order for another 11 liquid lipsticks? I think they call that madness. And yet that's exactly what I did, because Colourpop is literally amazing and I can't resist free delivery (even if you do get smacked with a £19 customs fee).
The first 2 shades I went with were from the day-of-the-week collection and I chose Sunday and Monday. Actually I swatched them in the opposite order (rather unhelpfully) but I love both of them. Both matte shades, Monday is a dark cool toned nude and Sunday is a warm toned pink.
I'm totally obsessed with the Satin range (after buying one as part of a set and falling in love with the finish). They're much less drying than the matte ones but still just as long-lasting. I'm in love with Lyin' King, which is the slightly lighter, satin version of Bad Habit. Frick 'n' Frack is a gorgeous cool toned purple nude and Echo Park is a lovely warm pinky nude.
Colourpop have a wonderful way of putting together lipsticks that just go with eachother. This lip kit set is called Just Peachy and consists of 2 matte shades and 1 sating shade. Speed Dial is my favourite of them all. A dark, warm-toned nude matte shade, it's exactly like Taupe by MAC (ie. my favourite lipstick of all time). Screenshot is a lighter nude than I'd normally go for but when it's a satin shade, you're not as in danger of looking like you've gone with foundation lips. And Instigator is a perfect dupe for Dirty Peach by Kylie Cosmetics but at a fraction of the price!
Despite my new-found love for satin shades, you can't go wrong with a good matte. Auto Correct is quite similar to Shroom (by Lime Crime) in the way that it's a completely neutral brown-nude tone, but it's very slightly lighter. Time Square is a really nice cool-toned nude purple (slightly lighter than Frick 'n' Frack) and Airplane Mode is a gorgeous peachy-pink matte nude.
And if all of that wasn't enough of a bargain already, I also got this gorgeous warm reddish-bronze eyeshadow for free! With the price I paid for all of this, the customs fee was totally worth it!
