Fall haul
It feels like it's been SO long since I've written a blog post like this but a change in season always calls for a change in wardrobe (it's only natural). So after I built up my autumn wardrobe with some pretty new pieces, I thought I'd do a classic desk-daytime-dancefloor post!
For desk
Although navy blue is a pretty tricky colour to work with, it's a colour I just can't resist because it's perfect for a dark wintery look without going all-black-erthang. A swing dress is always a good shout they're so flattering and seem to make your legs look longer - and this one looks great with or without a belt. I love that it has long sleeves so it'll be nice and warm, and the black laddered trim detail around the collar bone just really sets it off.
For day time
I actually already have this top in black and I love it so much that I decided to get it in white too. It's super cheap and wearable and I just love the crossover straps. I've wanted a dark floral skirt like this for a while; it seems to be a piece that loads of different retailers are doing (including river island and new look) but obviously I had to get mine from trusty missguided.
For dancefloor
There are a number of things that I believe to be staples in any wardrobe; a leather skirt being one of them. Well, faux leather - I don't have enough money to be splashing out on the real stuff. I've already got a few leather mini skirts but I've wanted a midi one for ages and this one is perfect; the split up the front is a really nice detail (plus it makes it easier to move and walk in). Now for anyone who's been reading for a while (or who follows me on instagram), you will know I am a massive fan of mesh and lace for nights out so of course I couldn't resist this high neck lace top. Especially since it's burgundy which is the colour of the autumn season, year after year.
