Last of the summer florals
So I may have been buried deep in the realms of denial but even I can't put off the fact that we are well in to Autumn now. But I couldn't let my favourite season go by without squeezing every last wear out of my summer clothes first so I actually wore this floral kimono twice in 2 weeks. And seeing as I'm well in to my overdraft right now, I thought this blog post would be doubly fitting as it's a good way to remind me how many different outfits I can build around the clothes I already own rather than buying new ones all the time (although I have just bought a load of new ones, I can't lie). Anyway, so it's a kind of day to night theme with the day outfit being much more casual than I'd ever normally go. But I wore this a family BBQ and so heels were not required (and would've made holes in the grass). I've had this little kimono a couple of years now and even though I don't wear it very often, I never consider throwing it out because I just love how simple and pretty it is. Plus it matches this rose bodysuit perfectly (although I did have to roll the sleeves up or it would've looked weird). I kept it extra simple by just adding jeans and converse and let the print of the kimono do the talking.
Taking it in to night and this is an outfit I wore for a few drinks so heels were not necessarily required but definitely desired. I love these strappy grey ones because they're literally so comfortable and don't make anything look too over dressy. This time around, I matched the kimono to my trousers instead of my top with this dusty pink tailored pair from ASOS. I added a white cami top, cute little pink bag and then Mehr lipstick. And I think that's probably all the wear out of this I'll manage until next Spring so now it's time to delve in to my Autumn wardrobe and start outfit planning!
