A wild weekend
As you already know from my last blog post, I had an amazing night on Thursday but the fun didn't stop there. After no sleep on Thursday, I squeezed in a 2 hour nap on Friday before getting up and getting ready all over again for round 2 when I was reunited with my besties; both the Katie's! They're both always late to everything so I told them 7, hoping that would mean that they would turn up at 8. But they still managed to be even later and turned up at nearly 9! But little Katie did come bearing gifts so it's okay. You know what I said about the late thing? Well these presents are for my birthday, which was back in June! They are beautiful gifts though; rose gold court heels and Zoeva makeup brush. Anyway, despite their lateness we had an amazing night! We went for 'Fizz Fridays' at Faradays where a bottle of prosecco is only £12 (which is just as well because big Katie managed to tip 2 glasses of it all over the table hahaha) and then to a new cocktail bar called Be at one bar. The menu is like a full on catalogue so it was hard to choose what to get but funnily enough we all managed to pick the same thing anyway! Then we went to baa bar and NG1 before finally getting home about half 4. I don't go out on Friday very often because I usually go out Thursdays and Saturdays but I decided to make it a dressy one and wore this beautiful purple dress with cage detail (missguided of course) and added black bag and boots, and then finished with Gerard cosmetics liquid lipstick in the shade Cher.
Then my hopes of any sleep were dashed yet again because I had a hairdressers appointment at 11am on Saturday so all the brassiness is finally out of my hair! My roots have got to a point where I actually quite like them so I've decided not to bleach them out. Not only does it mean I don't need to worry about roots if I already have them, but it also helps the blonde to suit my skin tone better because it's not framing my face in the same way.
After being at the hairdressers all day, I only had time for a tiny 1 hour nap before I had to get ready again and then head out and catch the train to Sheffield. I've been to Sheffield a few times before seeing as Laura is at uni there but it's also where loads of my McDonalds lot are at uni this year so me and my friend Abi headed up to stay with our friend Chantelle for the night. Another member of the McDonalds family, Max has just moved up too so we all went on a night out together, starting at Viper rooms and then on to Tank (which is Chantelle's favourite place) where Philip George was playing. So far on my nights out of the week, I'd gone with shorts and then a dress so I figured I'd go with a skirt this time. I kept it monochrome with this striped mini and black bodysuit, and finished with black boots, black bag and Taupe lipstick. We had an amazing night and 5am was rolling around by the time we got back to Chantelle's where we attempted to sleep 3 of us in a 3/4 sized bed. There was definite spooning going on! Then after not eating for the past 3 days, we did something fun and we went to Taco Bell (if you don't get the reference then we probably can't be friends) before me and Abi waved goodbye and headed back to Nottingham.
The whole no-sleep-since-wednesday-night thing was really killing me off by this point but instead of going home for the longest nap of my life, I got ready all over again for a family meal at Bistrot Pierre. I went with a pink and black colour palette; dusty pink trousers with black lace bralet under a black mesh bodysuit and black pointed court heels. Obviously my favourite part of the outfit was the bag; I'm so beyond in love with my Chanel-boy-bag dupe it's unreal. I went with a simple winged eyeliner and pink lip look, for which I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in Dusty rose. Even though I was beyond tired, I had an amazing meal and a lovely time with my family. It may have been an exhausting weekend but it's definitely been an incredible one!
