Woah we're going to Ibiza

To say I had holiday blues right now would be a massive understatement because I've had the most incredible week in Ibiza ever with all my favourite people! Although waking up at 1am for our flight was not the most fun thing I've ever done but I made up for it with prosecco on the plane. Me and katie could have been one of those '2 types of people' photos; one paying way too much for a tiny bottle and one bringing her own little picnic. Although I should've made the most of the nice prosecco because I pretty much lived off a diet of really strong vodka and toasted sandwiches for the rest of the week.

My idea to each buy a litre of vodka for predrinks seemed like a great idea until I went way too hard on the first night (I didn't even recognise the strip when we went the next night because I couldn't remember anything) and then spent the whole of the next day stuck in bed throwing up. Although our first 3 days there were completely cloudy (outraged) so atleast I didn't have to miss out on any sun thanks to my hangover. And not one to pass up on the opportunity for a night out (especially a thursday night out), I still made it out on to the strip and ironically ended up in a bar that was exactly like Rock City so it was like a little home away from home!

On the Friday we had another cloudy day but it totally didn't matter because it was one of the best days we had. It was Martin Garrix at Ushuaia which started about 5 and then went on until like midnight with quite a few other DJs on before him. We didn't want to turn up right at the start so we drank on Bora Bora beach for a bit first and got some cute group photos. Notice anything weird about them? No? Well we all had little bottles of vodka hidden in our knickers ready to sneak in. It's so much better being a girl because they were patting the guys down but they just peaked in our bags then let us through. And we were so glad we snuck it in because a double vodka mixer would've cost us €26! Ushuaia was THE most expensive place for drinks though; the other big clubs we went to were like €18 or €20. We had literally the most amazing night though and Martin Garrix's set was so good - and we even managed to get a selfie with him afterwards! Then thanks to Katie's insider knowledge (she's been to Ibiza before when her older sister was working out there), we found this amazing roof top bar which was about 20 floors up in a glass lift (good job I don't have a fear of heights).

Then after starting to doubt we were even abroad at all, we finally got some sun! So we all happily spent the day frying around the pool (and jumping in to cool off). I had wanted to do zoo project but the thought of getting ready in the heat and going out at like 4 just didn't appeal so we had another night back on the strip instead and went to club tropicana (although unfortunately drinks were not free).

Originally we had planned to do the Float Your Boat party on Thursday but then we were too hungover and so we assumed we wouldn't get another chance. But then the Craig David pool party that we'd planned for Sunday had sold out everywhere so we ended up doing the boat party after all! It was so much fun and we got given a free bottle of cava (being a group of girls totally works in your favour when you go on holiday) and jumped off the boat in to the sea. Although trying to dance on a moving boat is pretty hard so we nearly fell over quite a few times. We even nearly fell over mid-selfie. Then after the boat party, we went to Ibiza Rocks bar for dinner and cocktails. We definitely had eyes bigger than our bellies all holiday because we kept ordering loads and then having to leave most of it!

Our tickets to Space Sundays were included in the price of the boat party so it was a really good deal. Sundays are supposedly their biggest night but we weren't massively impressed by it. None of the main rooms opened until like 1am and then when they finally did, it was the exact same house beat as in the other rooms so it got a bit boring. We still had a good night though and I thought this cylinder seat thing was really cool.

It was a pretty hard call to make but out of the whole week, I think I'd have to say that Ocean Beach Club on Monday was my absolute favourite! After not doing a pool party on our last 2 summer holidays, that was the main thing we wanted to do this year and it didn't disappoint. Originally we thought we might be better off buying a bottle of vodka there and splitting the cost. That was until we saw the menu and saw that the cheapest bottle was €300 - the most expensive was over €2,100! And considering we don't crap out money, we scrapped that idea. The rest of the drinks weren't that bad though - cocktails were €13, doubles were €10 and a bottle of cava was €40 so we didn't actually spend as much as I thought we might. I love the fact they serve everything in orange glasses too. We had the most amazing time; Lovely Laura the famous saxophone player performed (This Girl was definitely our holiday song this year and it was even better with her playing over the top of it!) and we got a photo with Wayne Lineker the owner of Ocean Beach (plus the rest of his Ibiza empire). Although me and Katie made the mistake of going back in the pool again at like 9pm and then we were freezing!

The sunset in Ibiza is one of the most famous things about it and yet all week we kept missing it by like 10 minutes. So on the last night we made sure we were there in plenty of time and decided to have dinner at one of the sunset bars (where we saw Miss GB herself, Zara from Love Island). And then it was cloudy so yet again, we didn't get to see the sunset! I think we were just fated not to see it - atleast the food was really good though!

We had seemingly saved the best until last; Sigma and Rudimental at Amnesia. I don't think I've ever been more hot and sweaty in my entire life but it was the most amazing night! I wish I could upload some of the videos to show how amazing it was but they never work properly when I try and put them on the blog.

I don't think I've ever been more tired than the morning we flew home. So we woke up at half 9 on Tuesday (to make the most of our last day of sun), then had a nap-free day and went out to Amnesia which finished at 6am. Then it took us about an hour to get back to our hotel in San Antonio and our flight was at 10:50am so we had to leave for the airport at half 7 so we didn't have any time to sleep - just time to scrub the glitter off us and then pack our last few bits before we had to leave. Trying not to fall asleep at the airport was so hard (Katie just gave up and curled up on the seat) but we didn't want to risk missing our flight. Needless to say, the very second we sat down in our seats on the plane, we all fell asleep and didn't wake up until we landed again!
