Earn your stripes

Okay so if you're super observant (like me) then you may be able to tell that I shot these photos a while ago based on the fact that in these photos my roots are only really bad. But right now, my roots are so badly grown out that it actually looks like I've ombréd my hair. But I can't see any point in paying £80 to get it done blonde again when I'm planning a total colour change just after my next holiday. So anyway, as you know by now, I am a massive lover of stripes. Come rain, come shine they are the trend that never fails. And when the weather is like this (it was hot and sunny yesterday and pouring with rain today), you have to try and dress for multiple seasons all in one outfit. So I went for a bodycon dress with slightly high neck but short sleeves with a jacket but open-toe sandals. Anyone who doesn't have to deal with the mood swings of the English weather should consider themself lucky. I love this dress though because it's just such a nice fit and length and it works from season to season. You may not be able to see in the photos but it's actually striped with white and camel so I think it has a bit extra than a monochrome print. I matched my jacket and shoes to the white stripes though and finished with Velvet teddy lipstick.
