10 things to put on your summer bucket list
So summer is a time for making crazy memories and having a legendary time right? But it's also the time that OITNB season 4 comes out and Pretty Little Liars comes back on so it's really easy to just waste the time away while you Netflix and chill (the literal kind, not the sex kind). So instead, it's time to squash FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and make it a mission to GOMO (Get Out More Often) and make some memories. Just don't forget to take your selfie stick with you (because if you don't get photos then did it even happen?)
1. Plan a holiday
Or if you're like me then a few holidays. The last few years have been amazing so far with Magaluf and then Zante and I am literally so excited for Ibiza next week - I can't wait! And if that wasn't good enough, I have Florida planned for August too!
2. Go shopping
Well obviously this one was going to be on my list, come on. But whereas I usually stick to online shopping, it's nice to plan a proper girly shopping day out every so often!
3. Have a day at the theme park
It's nice to indulge your inner child/inner adrenaline junkie (depending on which rides you pick) every once in a while. I personally like to go for both. Me and Laura had such a fun day at Drayton Manor last year and ended up completely soaked from 3 goes on the log flume.
4. Dine al fresco
There's a special charm to eating dinner outside in the sunshine or having a picnic. Although the bug problem can kind of ruin it. So drinks in the sun is just as good (maybe better).
5. Explore a new city
Whether that's a trip to London (my recent trip to London was amazing) or somewhere a bit further afield. I'm already excited for my trip to Amsterdam and it's not until September (I definitely have some exciting trips planned for this summer).
6. Have a BBQ
Living in Britain, we don't exactly get nice weather most of the time. So the second the sun comes out from behind the rain cloud it's time to fire up the BBQ! It's pretty much a law or something.
7. Go for a drive
Even if it's only to McDonalds for an ice cream (which it definitely is if you're anything like me and my friends). But it still beats lying around at home on your own!
8. Go to a festival
I'm actually really disappointed that I won't be going to one this year but we didn't bother arranging anything in the hope that our local festival No Tomorrow would be on again but it hasn't been this year! It was amazing last year though so a festival is a definite summer must-do.
9. Enjoy a night out
Or 837271 nights out if you're me. I don't understand people that are always like 'I'd always rather stay in than go out to a bar or nightclub'. To me, that translates as boring.
10. Visit an outdoor cinema
This was so cool when I did this in London last month I would highly recommend! It made me feel like I was living a movie moment or something.
So if you're trying to Get Out More Often and want to get involved in some exciting events then be sure to check out sites like Eventbrite and search for fun things going on near you! Can't find anything? Why not set up your own event instead! With easy event management software, you'll be one step closer to Getting Out More Often this summer!
