Shake it like a polaroid picture

As I've mentioned before, I am in the middle of writing my bucket list. And among other things, 'get thrown a surprise party' is on there. Well, my friend Alice ticked that off this weekend when her boyfriend arranged a surprise cocktail making party for her 21st and it was honestly the most fun ever! We kicked things off with a bomb train and then got to make 3 different cocktails, played 2 rounds of shot roulette and did a blindfolded bomb tasting which included bombs made with baked beans (I was scared that with my bad luck I'd get all the nasty ones but the universe was on my side and everything I had was nice) all for £18 a person which is such a good price considering a cocktail itself is normally £8!

We made a Flaming New Jersey, made with triple sec, cointreau, southern comfort and orange juice and then finished off with orange and sugar which we doused in 63% rum and then set on fire (which probably explains my headache the next day), a Strawberry Julep, made with vodka, passoa, strawberry and passionfruit syrups, lemon juice, apple juice and then garnished with a lemon slice and a strawberry and a French Martini, made with vodka, chambord, pineapple juice and then finished with a dash of grenadine (I did mine in the shape of a J how cute). Yes I managed to remember all of those ingredients despite being tipsy at the time, don't ask how but my memory is weirdly good. Not to brag but I was pretty happy with how all my cocktails turned out so I reckon I'll be a professional cocktail mixologist within the week.

Oh the video doesn't seem to work on mobile, only desktop - annoying. Anyway, in amongst the cocktail making, we also played a little game involving ice cubes where you have to try and throw an ice cube from behind your back into your glass in your other hand. Considering this is a game purely based on hand-eye coordination, you can guess how bad at it I was. I'm just happy I managed not to hit anyone.
