Having a carrie bradshaw moment
There are certain iconic fashionistas through history who we can't help but take inspiration from (real or fictional). I usually try and indulge my inner Blair Waldorf most of the time but with this outfit I was very much having a Carrie Bradshaw moment. Carrie Bradshaw; the one who wasn't afraid to wear high heels, possibly the one who invented being a psycho girlfriend and the one who figured out that our girlfriends may be our real soul mates and that guys are just people to have fun with. She also gave us some pretty accurate observations about sex and relationships and made the Manolo Blahnik the iconic shoe that it is today. And while some of her outfit choices were a bit too 'out there' for me, this full-midi-skirt-and-heels combo that she rocked on more than one occasion is one that I can get on board with. For me and this skirt it was love at first sight (a little like Carrie and Big) - the colour is dreamy, the fabric hangs really nicely and it was only £10 from primark! Plus it's just so fun to spin around in (yes, in case you couldn't guess I had way too much fun taking these photos). I'm obsessed with blush pink right now and I think it's such a gorgeous colour for spring. The stripes on this top match the skirt perfectly so I paired the two together and then added white pointed court heels. They may not be Manolo Blahniks yet but don't worry I'll get there.
