Indulging my inner Elle Woods

When we're born, we're either wrapped up in a pink or a blue blanket depending on whether you're a boy or a girl. Well that's how they used to do it in the nineties atleast, they probably pick some gender-fluid colour nowadays so as not to offend or define anyone. Now a lot of us grow out of our stereotypical boy/girl colours but some of us stick to our roots and embrace our stereotype. I would be one of those people. In case you couldn't tell by the overload of pink you're currently looking at. And I have to say that walking down the street in loads of pastel pink and stilettos, you really feel connected to your inner Elle Woods. If you don't know who I mean then get on Netflix right now and watch Legally Blonde - that film has one of the best defining scenes in it ever. Don't worry, no spoilers. Apart from the general ditsiness and desperate need to settle down and get married, I'm a lot like Elle Woods; a love of pink clothes, a love of expensive chocolate and a relentless way of getting anything and everything I want. So I indulged my inner Elle Woods today with my current favourite coat which was worth every penny (all 8,900 of them) and these dreamy blush coloured lace up heels with cute tassel details. I'm pretty sure that this is the most colour coordinated I've ever been and I'll probably never be this colour coordinated again so I'm going to enjoy my peak. Not only did the coat and shoes perfectly match eachother, but they also matched the pink stripes on this cute River Island tee. I loved it so much that I bought it in the grey/pink/blue colour scheme as well as this pink/brown/khaki one. And then to put the icing on the cake, the khaki parts of the top, matched my khaki trousers (which I wore turned up at the bottom). Do I deserve some kind of medal for these matching skills? I think so. I finished the whole look with Twig lipstick because I don't think that any outfit is truly complete without one. And excuse the fact that my hair is a mess in this post but my hair does not mix with wind. The rules of hair care are simple and finite. Sorry I couldn't resist.
