I got all my sisters with me

I like to think that not all stereotypes are true. Like surely not all computer geeks end up filthy rich and surely not everyone who has a baby aged 16 ends up on The Jeremy Kyle Show and surely not all taxi drivers will try and scam more money out of you just because you're drunk. But actually, the stereotype of a group of girls getting together and going shopping, gossiping for hours, drinking wine and putting on fashion shows is true. Well I can't exactly speak for everyone but that's exactly what me and my friends did this weekend. We didn't seem to get that much actual shopping done because we took so long in each shop but we did get some really nice stuff. I absolutely love this playsuit I got from primark - it's exactly like one I almost bought for £50 from Topshop a few weeks ago but this was only £10!! And yes we did have to try everything on once we got home and put on a mini fashion show. But the stereotype of girls having pillow fights in their pyjamas is one that is actually not true. Not for British girls anyway - maybe it's strictly a stereotype for girls in American movies. And falling into yet another cliche, we ordered like £30 worth of milkshakes and desserts (I was amazed when I discovered a dessert takeaway!). And this is despite having had a Nando's a few hours earlier (my first one in like 2 years and I have to say I've been missing out because it was really good). Well I guess we fall into some stereotypes because they're too good to resist. New clothes, cookie dough and gossiping with your best friends - is there anything better?

I went fairly casual in heeled boots rather than proper heels because 1) I knew I'd be walking around for most of the day and 2) my friends are considerably shorter than me so I didn't want to look like a mum taking her kids to town. I love the printed acrylic heels on these boots and they perfectly matched this rust top (which has the ideal length of sleeves). I added black jeans and slate duster jacket and then finished the look with Taupe lipstick which is hanging onto life by a thread - it's almost too small to actually use! Next thing on my to do list: re buy my favourite lipstick.
