Da da da da da da da tequila
For anyone else in a really close group of friends who all work irregular hours, you will understand how good last night was. Our main source of contact is our group chat and so any time that all 5 of us can actually get together in person is a big deal; to manage an actual night out with all 5 of us is even better!
As you probably know by my weekly instagram photos in the same place and pose, I tend to wear bodysuits and shorts on nights out rather than dresses because I never seem to be going anywhere fancy enough to dress up. But we decided we wanted a good old dressy night out so I wore this navy blue bodycon dress (obviously from Missguided because pretty much all of my clothes are) which has a really nice sash detail (which is hard to see in the photo) and an asymmetric hemline. I added black public desire boots (because even on a dressy night I don't trust myself to last the night in actual heels) and then black shoulder bag and gold jewellery.
In case you haven't noticed by now, I am someone who likes to match my make up to my outfit. Which meant that I could get creative and crack out the blue eyeshadow! People who stick to only neutrals baffle me - do they not realise the fun they're missing out on? I applied Sin (Naked palette) over my lid and then blended Navy (Lorac 2 palette) through my crease, being careful to build up the colour slowly rather than going in heavy straight away. Then I darkened my crease using a mix of Gunmetal and Creep (both Naked palette) and added the same blend along my lower lash line. I also added a bit of the blue along my lower lash line and then added liner, lashes and mascara. I used Hoola bronzer by Benefit to do my contour (which actually went well for once in my life) and then applied my Gerard cosmetics liquid lipstick in Cher over the top of Soar lip liner. I'll be reviewing the Gerard cosmetics lip products I've recently bought at some point later this week so keep an eye out for that!
It actually wasn't just the 5 of us at pre drinks, we had a special extra guest. Everybody, meet Katie's adorable new puppy Leo! He's so tiny and playful and cute he literally melted my ice queen heart (although he did take a liking to biting my new shoes which I didn't love so much).
Last night has literally got me so excited for our Ibiza holiday now too - hang in there girls it's only 86 days away now! Plenty of time to stop eating Easter eggs and tone up, add to my bikini collection which is currently going strong with a total of 16 bikinis, and apologise in advance to my liver. Well it's not like I treat it well on a normal weekend anyway.
