Cut it out
I've wanted a cut out high neck top like this for ages but I've either not liked the ones I've found, or the ones that I've found and actually liked have been sold out already. So when I found this one on New Look's website, I wasted no time in adding to basket before anyone else could snap it up first. I especially love the folded detail around the shoulders - I think it's a nice finishing touch. I was tempted to get it in navy (because of my current navy obsession) but I thought it was wiser to get the black because it would go with everything. I actually made the smart decision for once in my life. I haven't been getting much wear out of my dogtooth coat this winter despite the fact that I still love it, so I layered it over this top and then kept the rest of my outfit simple. Taupe trousers from H&M (I've had them ages but they're still a really nice fit) and then black shoes to balance up the top and bottom - these Valentino rockstud dupes are still up there among my favourites. I finished with Spirit lipstick and black Olivia Burton watch.
