My payday wishlist
I'm pretty sure that whoever said 'money doesn't buy happiness' just didn't know where to shop; they should give it me and let me show them how it's done. And seeing as how February pay day is finally upon us, I thought it was about time I put together a little wish list. I say wish list rather than shopping list because quite a few of these pieces are aspirational buys as oppose to things that I'd actually be able to afford. Well for now at least. But a girl can dream.
Probably my favourite season for fashion, it's finally time to start building that Spring wardrobe! Fashion in spring is all about bare legs and duster jackets and neutral colours and statement open toe shoes - all of my favourites basically! And because neutrals are such an essential this time of year, I've got a few on my list. I've wanted a pale pink coat for soooo long and yet all the ones I find are either the wrong colour or the wrong style or shape and the one time I did find a really nice one, it sold out just I was clicking 'add to basket'. I love this River Island one because it's a trench coat style and a really nice length and it's a really nice pale colour. I'm also loving this high-neck-with-cut-out-section style at the minute so I love this top and I can't resist things with mesh or fishnet panels so this long sleeve top ticks a lot of boxes for me.
I think that navy can be a pretty difficult colour to wear because it just seems to clash with everything but I'm really loving it at the minute. I love the Burberry SS16 vibes of this navy dress with fishnet overlay and I'm getting more and more into jumpsuits at the minute. Yes I already have way too many coats and yes I plan on buying way too many more this season - first stop, this pale blue trench coat from Topshop.
I've been looking for a nice tuxedo dress for a while now and I did actually buy one around Christmas time but it was really badly fitted and the only fastening was a single button so if I bent my leg, I'd be flashing much more than I would like to. Needless to say, that one got sent straight back! So I'm hoping to have a bit more luck with this grey one which is slightly longer and more of a day time dress. I just think it would look really nice with some pointed boots or court heels. As more of a night out version, I love this blazer-style playsuit; the colour is literally amazing. And I don't know if I'd actually have the balls to wear a dress like this (or anywhere to wear it to) but this House of CB dupe is to die for. The colour is amazing and there's just something about it that feels very designer.
And now we're onto the bits I definitely won't be buying; with prices starting at £995 these are a little out of my price range for the minute but I like spending lazy sundays scrolling through the Selfridges website and dreaming about the bags that I will one day own. The Givenchy tote is probably number one on my list (I'm stuck between the black and the grey and I don't know whether to go for the patent leather or the soft-grained leather) but I'm also loving the pale pink tote bags right now. Saint Laurent bags just scream elegance but I also really like the tiny bit of classic iconic print down the sides of this Burberry bag.
Me and black heels are like an endless love affair. Sure sometimes I may be tempted to stray and feel like I need to be more adventurous and try out a new colour but ultimately I always come back to the black heel because I remember why I love it so much; because black heels are forever. You never have to worry about them clashing with your outfit or going out of style, so when I buy yet another pair of black heels I know that it is an investment for life. Which is why these shoes are halfway between my wishlist and my shopping list. They are quite expensive (too expensive to just buy on an impulse) but I know I'll get my wear out of them. Plus I've wanted some Senso shoes ever since I first found the brand on instagram (it was love at first sight). I haven't quite decided which pair to get yet but I'll definitely be buying the more budget-friendly New Look pair alongside whichever ones I go with. Who knows, I may even buy them all.
Spring Fling

Feeling Blue

Tote-ally Amazing
Saint Laurent shoulder bag, Givenchy tote bag in black, Givenchy tote bag in grey, Burberry tote bag
