We're going to london baby!
I don't how your last weekend before Christmas was but mine was amazing - and busy to say the least! Ever since me and Laura met over 3 years ago and discovered that we both loved Made In Chelsea, we've been saying that we should plan a trip to London. It may have been a long time coming but we finally did it! And we had such a brilliant time! Plus our return coach tickets were only £16 each so it wasn't an expensive trip either. We got to London at like half 9 and went straight to Buckingham palace, seeing as we were already right near it. And besides, a Princess like me belongs in a palace. For my first day in London, I wore this checked shirt dress (new look) with thigh high boots (also new look) and black fur collar coat (missguided) which ended up being a terrible outfit choice because I was melting in the fur and my feet were killing. But you know, style comes before comfort anyway.
Then we had the most full on day of shopping ever; we did Harrods, Laduree, Regent Street, Liberty's, Oxford Street and Selfridges and I spent the majority of the day lusting after Givenchy tote bags that I can't even nearly afford. My new years resolution is to save up and buy myself one though. Alternatively, if anyone would like to donate £1,600 to a very good cause then that would be appreciated. I loved how Christmassy everything was too - the lights were just stunning.
Despite my disliking of children, we also went into Hamley's and the Disney store where I was officially the oldest, childless person in the queue to get a photo in Cinderella's carriage. I feel no shame.
Then we went for the most incredible festive afternoon tea at The Arch hotel near Marble Arch which was seriously fancy. It came with some weird Japanese tea though so I stuck to wine (because I'm just that healthy).
Then we headed to Granary square, stopping at St Pancras station on the way to see the Disney toy Christmas tree (definitely having one the same in my house next year). Granary square was so cute - they had a Christmas tree made out of sledges that you could sit inside and lit up fountains that danced along to the music playing.
We finished off our Saturday with cocktails in Covent Garden (the London drinks prices compared to prices at home practically make your eyes water) and they had the prettiest Christmas tree ever.
Sunday was slightly more chilled out than Saturday; I wore a black skirt (new look) and Balmain inspired oversized embellished sweatshirt (topshop) with the same thigh high boots and coat. I felt very Kourtney-in-Yeezy actually. We may not have bumped into any Made In Chelsea cast members but we did have the most amazing brunch at The Bluebird Cafe and then we spent the journey out of Chelsea lusting over all the houses that we one day plan to live in.
Nottingham's version of Winter Wonderland literally has nothing on the Hyde Park version - it's just so cute and christmassy! I never realised how entertaining watching ice skating could be too. Needless to say though, I didn't give it a go myself - I have problems with balance and would no doubt have spent the entire time on my bum.
It was starting to feel like a foreign country because we'd actually made it nearly two whole days without rain, but don't worry England was as reliable and predictable as ever and it poured it down just as we were leaving Winter Wonderland. I just felt sorry for the people who were still ice skating and were stuck there for another half an hour in the rain! We avoided the weather though by heading for dinner in Soho; for anyone who hasn't been to Byron burger before, seriously get yourself down there. Uh-mazing! Then to finish off our amazing trip, we went and had Christmas cocktails at Barrio before making our way back home. We had such a good time that we're already planning our next trip (by which point I'm hoping to be rich enough to buy the designer bag of my dreams)!
