OOTD: cinema sundays

Just lately I seem to be steering away from my beloved prints-on-prints-on-prints and opting for much simpler, more classic outfits. I think it must be my inner Anna Wintour trying to break out. When I went to see the final installment of the hunger games movies; The Mocking Jay Part 2, I managed to wear all my most annoying clothes. I love the way this white bodysuit fits; bodysuits are just so much nicer than tops and you don't have to worry about them coming untucked (plus I'm really loving this slinky fabric at the minute). But the cowl neck on this one, although it looks good when it's in place, it only stays in place for like 10 minutes. So you find yourself adjusting your clothes all the time which is kind of annoying. I also wore my most painful shoes (clever Jenni) which are not only painful when worn for longer than half an hour but I also walk terribly in them. They're just so uncomfortable! I guess that's what you get for wearing £10 primark shoes but I refuse to give up on them because they're so pretty. I added these indigo high waisted jeans and tan trench coat, although I left the belt at home because that was annoying me too. Maybe I was just in an irritable mood that day? Something that I've wanted for ages is a Chloe dupe bag and seeing as this one was only £9 from primark and vaguely resembles the Chloe Drew, I couldn't resist. There are some really good dupes around but they're much more expensive and I use little bags like this so rarely that I didn't want to spend loads.

I love playing around with my 346382947 eyeshadows when I actually have plenty of time to get ready so I went with a reddish-gold eye makeup look using my Lorac Unzipped palette and my Sleek sunset palette and then I added black pencil eyeliner in my waterline, false lashes and Retro lipstick.

The Mocking Jay Part 2 was actually so amazing (as was our post-cinema meal at Zizzi)! I feel like I give a lot of bad book/film reviews on here so when I get the chance, it's good to show you I'm not always moaning (well actually I am but that's not the point). I'm not going to give any major spoilers in case you haven't seen it yet, but if that's the case then seriously go and watch it! It stuck to the book almost word for word except for a portion at the beginning that they changed to cut the time down. And even though I knew all the shocking things that were going to happen (like who was going to die and when), everything still took me by surprise. It was such an emotional film too and as with every single role she's ever taken on, Jennifer Lawrence did a perfect job. Okay maybe I will reveal one big spoiler but it's kind of an obvious one (look away now if you don't want to know) - Katniss ends up with Peeta. And even though the scene and the dialogue at the end (back in district 12, before the flash-forward) is perfect, my only criticism is that they don't have an epic kiss at the end. Which all great romance films should. That's also something that I dislike about Mulan, for anyone who was wondering.
