Mermaid vibes
Although I usually think of myself as more of a Belle when it comes to the world of Disney Princesses, I'm actually very similiar to Ariel in that I love collecting pretty things and swimming and making bad decisions and not doing what I'm told (although I have a terrible singing voice). So I thought I'd indulge my inner-Ariel with some fabulous mermaid hair, courtesy of HairChalk.Co.
When I was sent these hair chalk sets, I was very tempted to try the cool toned Sky Denim Blue Purple Ombré set or to think pink with the Rose Tint Red Pink Ombré set but I decided to stick with my Little Mermaid theme and try out the Pumpkin Spice Ombré set which is filled with gorgeous rich, warm, reddish, autumnal (or fall, for my American readers) colours. The hair chalks are so easy to use! Just run them under water and then apply them onto your hair; the sets even come equipped with gloves so you won't get it all over your hands (although I still somehow managed to make a mess!). The colour is really pigmented and you can easily build it up for a brighter look, then it simply washes out in the shower. I loved this sunset-esque style that I created using the darkest chalks from the set at the roots, the brightest in the middle and then the lightest through the ends. Of course, I had to match my lipstick to my hair with this Revlon lip butter in the shade Tutti frutti! Fancy trying out some hair chalks for yourself?
