A weekend with bite

Hope you all had an amazing Halloween! I just really don't understand people who don't enjoy Halloween because it's "forced fun" - they're the same kinds of people who don't like New Years Eve either (booooo). As someone who prides themselves on being a bitch, I think I would enjoy looking as evil as I did on Saturday night, all the time.

As you know by now (because I've only mentioned it like 10 million times), these red contact lenses were the main part of my vampire outfit. Look how cool they look! Because I'm really blind, I had to get prescription lenses but I still expected them to be blurry or painful. They were a bit uncomfortable at first and they made my eyes water more than my normal lenses but apart from that they were really good! For any fellow blind people who couldn't find prescription Halloween lenses, I got mine from the Lens Catalogue and even though they were shipped from America, they didn't take too long to get here. To go with my contact lenses, I created a red and purple smokey eye using my new Sunset Sleek palette and my Naked 3 palette and then added lashes and Retro lipstick. I obviously had to garnish the look with fake blood, but it kept coming off so that didn't exactly last all night. I also created a "vampire bite" on my neck using purple eyeshadow, black liquid eye liner and then more fake blood.

In terms of the outfit, I didn't want to buy a specific vampire outfit from the fancy dress shop because I always find them really cheap and unflattering and uncomfortable so I decided to get a normal black dress instead and ended up finding this one on Missguided which was totally perfect! The lace and the jagged hemline made it feel Halloweeny and I love the strappy detail on the back. I wore it with my normal black boots (public desire) and then added a vampire cape; I love the jagged bottom that matched my dress and the burgundy lining. The big collar was a bit annoying and got in the way of my hair but it made me look more vampiric. I also curled my hair which made a nice change from the usual - I actually might do it more often.
