OOTD: chocolate and mustard
Now I know exactly what you're thinking - those heels aren't high enough for Jenni. Okay so maybe not exactly what you're thinking but atleast top 3 right? The reason for the lower-than-usual heels was because I had a pretty manic day last Thursday where I went up to Sheffield with work to help out at the UNiDAYS meadow hall student shopping centre event. It was crazy how many people turned up and I actually bumped in to a few friends who go to uni there so that was nice. I also got a chance at being a showgirl when I did a stint working on the spin the wheel game (I don't think the whole theatre act is totally me but it was fun anyway). But then I also partook in some real-life dramatics when I fainted right in the middle of the shopping centre - I am literally a hopeless case why do unlucky things like this always happen to me? But on the plus side, my supervisor was worried about me and the fact I hadn't eaten so she bought 2 dozen Krispy Kremes and then treated us to McDonalds too. So you know, every cloud does has a silver lining (or in this case, a lining of caramel buttercream). I wore a UNiDAYS branded t-shirt for the event (plus a walkie-talkie headset so I looked very official) but I was in the office as usual in the morning so I wore topshop jeans and a mustard coloured shirt from new look. I think mustard is such a nice autumnal colour and I sized up in this one so it would be a bit oversized because tight shirts are not chic. I went with the boots, despite the fact that they didn't entirely match, because I couldn't bring myself to wear flat shoes but I didn't want to be in pain. Turns out that was a moot point because when I got back home to Nottingham at gone midnight, I was pretty much ready to chop my feet off at the ankles. My favourite part of this whole outfit is my new pride and joy; this chocolate brown coat. I got a 25% river island discount card with Elle magazine and so I made full use of it by finally buying the £95 coat I'd been lusting after. The black leather trim detail really finishes it off and it's my favourite coat length. It could be tricky to match stuff with though so that could be a challenge. I finished the look with Marc Jacobs watch, gold hoop earrings and Taupe lipstick.
