The end is nigh
While bank holiday signals an extra opportunity to go out and get drunk aswell as an extra day to spend in bed, this one was bittersweet because it was the last one of the year - meaning that summer is pretty much over. Because it was the last one, we had to make the most of it so we went out both Saturday and Sunday night. Although saturday night had originally been a 'girls night in as we visit sian at her new uni house', which then turned into 'maybe we'll go for a few drinks' which quickly escalated into Katie being sick in a club and a bouncer worrying that he'd have to carry her out (don't worry he didn't have to in the end). Drunk people looking after even drunker people doesn't often go very well - while katie was being sick, me and sian were using toilet roll as a skipping rope and singing along to Justin Bieber at the tops of our voices (I don't actually remember but unfortunately there's video evidence). Because we hadn't planned a night out, my outfit was a little different to what I'd normally wear - and I loved it. Incase you haven't noticed, there is currently a reoccurring lace up theme through my wardrobe; this black bodysuit was from missguided and is a real statement piece. The cut around the shoulders is kind of annoying though because if you lace it up slightly too tight then it makes your shoulders look manly. I layered these new culottes over the top (also missguided) which are ridiculously comfy and the nicest colours for autumn, and then finished with strappy pointed toe new look shoes. I completed the look with a colour pop red lipstick using my brand new Chanel rouge allure velvet in shade 49 La petillante (in love doesn't even begin to describe it).
Then on sunday we went for some good old hair of the dog with a "classy" night out in long eaton (for anyone who's never been, yes that word was used ironically). I wore these khaki print shorts, which are some of my favourites from river island, with this lace-up white top from topshop (what did I tell you about the theme) and black boots. I couldn't help but smile at this comparison photo - look at the skin colour difference since the last time I wore these shorts!
