Ladies who lunch
There is no meal more appealing than afternoon tea - sandwiches without crusts, mini cakes and champagne; you literally couldn't improve it if you tried. And Browns do an especially nice one with lobster sandwiches and red velvet cake. And it was a really nice way to spend Laura's last afternoon in Nottingham as she goes back to uni in Sheffield this weekend and so I'll lose my lunching partner for another 9 months (*wipes away tear*). But ironically, I'll be in Sheffield on Monday and Thursday for work so I'm following her straight up there anyway. I went with a very autumnal outfit today; despite being a famously disliked colour, I can't get enough of mustard yellow right now. This jumpsuit is so beautifully made and I love the intricate criss-cross strap design on the back (which you can't see in the photos so I guess it's kind of a moot point). I love culottes at the minute because they're the perfect transitional piece and I accessorised my jumpsuit (river island) with all black everything else. My new black crepe duster jacket (primark) and favourite caged black heels (new look). I tied the outfit together with a black belt (missguided) and then finished off with Taupe lipstick.
